On February 1, 2023, Sanders, an Avril Group business unit, and the Groupement des Producteurs de Blé (GPB DIEUZE-MORHANGE) will be acquiring the animal nutrition business of Moulin de Sarralbe.
Through this acquisition, Sanders is consolidating its long-standing relationship with Moulin de Sarralbe, a Sanders distributor since 1957 for the animal nutrition activity, thereby further enhancing its proximity to its livestock farmers in Alsace.
For Sanders, this partnership with GPB is fully in line with its current objective of developing its position as leader in animal nutrition by maintaining a presence as close as possible to the regions (by supplying local cereals via GPB) and to its livestock farmer clients.
For Philippe Saint Pol, General Manager of Sanders North East Zone, "This acquisition is entirely in line with Moulin Sarralbe's historical activities. The new Sarralbe NA entity will continue to apply the best historical practices of the company and its teams, while providing support for the further improvement of its activities." Through the creation of Sarralbe NA (located in Keskastel in the Bas-Rhin department), Sanders is strengthening its position in Alsace with 25,000 tons of feed, particularly through its Label Alsace meat poultry.

About Moulin Sarralbe
Moulin de Sarralbe is an independent company that has been passed down within the same family for six generations.
At its origin, the company operated a flour mill, driven by the hydraulic power of the Saar River in the town of Sarralbe, which is located at the confluence of the Saar and the Albe Rivers.
At present, the Moulin de Sarralbe operates as a diversified company in the processing of cereals, focusing on three activities:
- Milling at its historical site in Sarralbe where 10,000 tons of wheat are crushed annually.
- Animal feed with a production of 25,000 tons at the Keskastel plant.
- The harvesting of 8,000 tons of cereals in crops, thus ensuring the company maintains firm control over its supplies.
In all of these activities, the Moulin de Sarralbe employs 44 people generating revenue of €13 million.
About GPB-Dieuze-Morhange
This Collective is located in the southern part of Moselle, bringing together 217 members in a polyculture-livestock area, generating revenue of €38.8M. Ever since it was founded in 1934, it has been supplying quality wheat to the Alsace, Lorraine, and German border mills, and more particularly to the Moulin de Sarralbe.
