Paris, April 30, 2024 - Sofiprotéol, Avril's investment company dedicated to players in the agricultural and food sectors, has subscribed to an equity securities issued by the Vivadour cooperative. This investment will enable the Gers-based cooperative group to strengthen its financial structure, thereby supporting the growth and resilience of the agricultural sector in the Gers and neighbouring counties.
A partnership to help the cooperative adapt to the challenges of tomorrow
Vivadour, with sales of 600 million euros and 4,800 farmers, is a pillar of cooperative agriculture in the region, covering diversified activities (crop production, livestock, wines and spirits, specialty retail) that reflect the local farming activities.
Through its Ambitions 2025 strategic plan, the Vivadour group is asserting its determination to deploy and drive its development, structure its organizations and display a growth dynamic.
The partnership with Sofiprotéol will enable Vivadour to accelerate the implementation of its strategic plan, by developing innovations and investing downstream to strengthen its resilience to the impacts of climate change.
Shared goals for sustainable agriculture
This collaboration is part of Sofiprotéol's and Vivadour's shared vision to promote sustainable and responsible agriculture, perpetuating the region's agricultural potential and creating value for all the cooperative's members.
Financing backed by a progress trajectory on key themes such as employee safety, governance diversity and the reduction of carbon emissions, demonstrates Vivadour and Sofiprotéol's commitment to actively contributing to societal and environmental challenges.
