The Avril Group signed the UN Global Compact in July 2017, which is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative.
Two years after joining the initiative, Avril qualifies its Communication on Progress at the “Advanced” Level, only reached by 8% of the signatory companies. The Advanced level is the highest level of reporting within this framework, proving the implementation of a large range of best practices regarding subjects as varied as human rights, labor, environment, support to the UN objectives, etc.
For Avril, this recognition is the reflection of the growing maturity of our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, implemented since 2010.

About the UN Global Compact
Announced by then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in July 2000, the UN Global Compact is a voluntary framework for businesses, associations or NGOs which are encouraged to support 10 universally recognized principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.
International reference, action and information exchange platform, the Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
The signatories must prove each year that they indeed implement measures in favor of these principles within a “Communication on Progress”, a report which is published on the official Global Compact website.
The initiative includes over 13,000 members in 2018, of which almost 10,000 companies. To date, more than 1,300 French companies and organizations participate in the UN Global Compact, France thus being the 2nd country in the world given the number of participants.
